There is a great opportunity for eligible young women in Burnett and Bundaberg to get some help with their studies.

The National Council of Women of Queensland has launched its 2014 bursary program for female students.

These bursaries are a terrific opportunity for young female students to get some help with their studies.

If your home is in regional or rural Queensland and you have a passion to work in aged care, have a disability, from indigenous background, or have a family member with cancer – there might be a bursary to apply for.

Each of these bursaries has its own criteria. Most are for tertiary students, but several are for secondary students.

  • Do you want to be a teacher?
  • Is your home in regional or rural Queensland?
  • Do you live in Ipswich? Cairns? Logan? Moreton Bay?
  • Does a family member have cancer?
  • Are you an Indigenous student?
  • Are you keen to work in aged care?
  • Do you have a disability or mental illness?
  • Do you have a passion for volunteering?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, you may be eligible to apply.

Go to the NCWQ website www.ncwq.org.au and follow the links for the bursary information.

Applications are open from 17 February to 4 April 2014
