Wartburg State School has scored a $160,155 funding boost for a new sports courts shade structure.

Member for Burnett Stephen Bennett said it’s a huge win for the entire Baffle Creek Community.

“There is no question that the announcement of these funds will result a lot of happy young faces at Wartburg State School,” he said.

“The teachers and staff at the school always go above and beyond and there is no school more deserving.

“I have no doubt that this funding will be put to very good use to benefit the whole community.”

This funding comes under the Queensland Government’s School Subsidy Scheme that aims to assist schools with the cost of school community facility (capital works) projects.

$5 million dollars is shared annually between all Queensland state schools.
