$100,000 is up for grabs for local not-for-profit groups and Member for Burnett Stephen Bennett said it’s time to start writing those applications!

Applications for the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF) Super Round will open on February 21 and close March 31.

Mr Bennett said a grant of this magnitude could go a very long way for local groups and organisations.

“Our not-for-profits play a vital role in our region through providing support, information, education and encouragement to people of all ages and abilities,” he said.

“Local sporting clubs foster emerging talent and shape our future Olympians.

“While many of our volunteer organisations make up the fabric of our communities; it’s no stretch to say we’d be lost without them.

“I’m committed to ensuring our local clubs and organisations are supported as much as possible which is why I’m urging groups to get their applications in now for the GCBF Super Round.

“There will only be one super round this year with grants of up to $100,000 available.

“My office is here to help, so please don’t hesitate to give me a call to discuss your options or seek a letter of support.

“Our not-for-profits go above and beyond to serve our community, the funding from this Super Round would certainly be well earned and deserved here in the Bundaberg and Burnett region.”
