I recently congratulated the Bundaberg Surf Lifesaving Club on their success in the most recent round of grants from the Jupiters Casino community benefit
funds.
The club’s inflatable rescue boat was badly damaged in last year’s storms and is no longer useable.
With their grant of $18,150, they’ll be able to buy a new boat and trailer to help keep swimmers safe at the beach.
The Gambling Community and Jupiters Casino Benefit Funds is just one way the Government returns taxes from gambling activities to communities.
It helps to ensure that through our community organisations, we all receive some benefit from gambling in Queensland.
I encourage other organisations to take advantage of the funding opportunities available from the Community Benefit funds.

Grants from the Jupiters Casino Community Benefit Fund Round 83 take the total funding provided to groups in the fund’s jurisdiction to over $102.5 million, with more than 4,100 applications funded since 1987.
