The Premier and Health Minister need to call out Labor’s Bundaberg MP Tom Smith today for breaking election promises.
He promised the people of Bundaberg before the last election a level 5 hospital.
He also put it in writing on Facebook on 26th August 2020.

This is another example of the chaos and crisis within the Palaszczuk Labor Government.
Wide Bay patients deserve a world class health system.
Today I’m calling on the Premier, the Health Minister and the Member for Bundaberg to listen to the people of Bundaberg and deliver on their promises:
- A Level 5 Hospital
- A Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Service (delivery was promised by October 2023)
- A falls prevention program (at the Bundaberg hospital)
- An urgent care clinic (promised by federal Labor counterparts in 2022)
- Reduced waiting lists
- Honest and real-time data
- Serious commitment to change toxic WBHHS culture
After three terms, eight years and four Health Ministers, the Palaszczuk Labor Government is no longer listening to Queenslanders.
