Do you have an opinion on where money should be spent on recreational boating facilities in the region?
State Member for Burnett Stephen Bennett MP wants locals to take two minutes and fill in a survey.
“The popularity of recreational boating in our region is increasing as the population grows”, Mr Bennett said.
“The number of boaties using our public recreational boating resources has increased the demand for new and improved boat ramps and infrastructure.
“With $30 million up for grabs for new or upgraded facilities over the next two years, we need your feedback to prioritise projects for 2017 and beyond.”
Mr Bennett said he was proud to fulfil his election promise of funding the new boat ramps at Fairymead and Burnett Heads.
“Not only are our boat ramps important recreational facilities for locals, they’re crucial to the region’s fishing and tourism industries.”
Mr Bennett said that stakeholder and community input into this program of works is a vital part of the engagement process and feedback on boating infrastructure across the state is important.
Boaties, fishers and the community can provide feedback via the Get Involved website at www.getinvolved.qld.gov.au
