Normally we would be in the middle of the Cleaner Greener Schools Project, but unfortunately due to obvious reasons we can’t go ahead as planned with the project this year. However, I would still like to be able to get students involved in reducing, recycling and reusing. So this year we’re hoping to get the discussion going at home through a colouring in competition.
Attached is a colouring in page of ‘Timmy the Turtle’. We’re encouraging students to colour in Timmy while they’re at home, or at school, and discuss ways to reduce, reuse and recycle with their parents, carers or teachers.
Of course, there will be an art prize for the winning student and a worm farm prize for his or her school! Please see below instructions on how it will all work:
HOW TO ENTER:
- Download the free colouring-in page from my Facebook page or website (or request the artwork to be sent straight to your email by completing a Contact Form below)
- Colour in your artwork and include a thought bubble from Timmy the Turtle. Please also include your name and age on the bottom. (Open to all children 12 years of age or younger)
- Email artwork through to [email protected] or get an adult to upload a photo of your artwork as a comment on to the Colour In Timmy The Turtle Competition Facebook post on my Facebook page (Stephen Bennett MP).

(Entries received via email will be posted to the facebook page (*Kids who would prefer to remain anonymous will have their names removed from the post for their protection).
