Locals are being encouraged to support the Rotary Clubs of Bundaberg and District’s fundraising Movie Premiere, Hidden Figures, to be screened at the Moncrieff Theatre on Wednesday, February 1.
Member for Burnett Stephen Bennett, who is heavily involved in Rotary, said all proceeds from the sale of the movie tickets would help raise vital funds towards eradicating polio worldwide through Rotary International’s ‘PolioPlus’ program.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to support an important cause while having a great night out with family and friends,” Mr Bennett said.
“Through the PolioPlus Fund, Rotarians have helped immunise more than 2.5 billion children against polio in 122 countries. It’s an incredible effort, but we can do more to completely eradicate polio.”
To help with fundraising and awareness efforts, Mr Bennett has launched a competition giving locals the chance to win double passes to the exclusive premiere screening.
There are 20 double passes to be won, which includes appetizers and entry to see the popular film.
To go into the draw to win a complimentary double pass, simply complete an online contact form via Stephen Bennett’s website www.stephenbennettmp.com.au or email your name and contact number to [email protected].
Alternatively, phone the Burnett Electorate Office on 4111 5100.
