The ex-Member for Burnett is trying to butter up the electorate with populist claims and wild, unsustainable spending promises – with no explanation about how he would pay for any of them.
I challenge anyone to find one policy or announcement which has lowered the cost of living for people that he can actually claim responsibility for.
The reality is the attached list lays out dozens of Labor policies which he did not overturn, and LNP programs which he did not have a hand in. These items only became a reality with the election of the LNP government.
Mr Messenger never had to do any heavy lifting when it came to making the hard decisions of Government. When it got too hot for him, he got out of the kitchen, taking the easy route of becoming an independent so he didn’t ever have to justify his actions.
