Curtis Pitt’s jobs promise is nothing more than a jobs con.

Labor has been in power for almost three years and in that time the youth unemployment rate in the Burnett region has jumped to nearly 25 per cent.

On Monday an independent report from the Australian Local Government Association highlighted that Wide Bay-Burnett has the worst unemployment rate in the country.

Not only does our region have the highest unemployment rate, we’ve almost got the lowest disposable income per person in Australia as well.

These are the irrefutable facts and no amount of spin from Curtis Pitt can hide the fact people in this region are suffering and sick of being treated like cash cows by a Labor Government that has increased car rego at twice the inflation rate for the last three years and raised taxes by more than $50 per person.

Pitt’s promises on infrastructure are just as hollow. This year Labor will spend $400 million less on infrastructure in the Wide Bay region than the LNP did in our last year in office.

All Curtis Pitt and the do-nothing Palaszczuk Government have delivered in three years is talk.

A Tim Nicholls-led LNP government would create new jobs and support small business to Build a Better Queensland.

ENDS.
