Queensland businesses can learn more about the benefits of social media and boosting their presence online through free online sessions being run by the State Government.
Member for Burnett, Stephen Bennett said businesses could register for the webinars taking place during February and March.
“The lunchtime webinars will run each Wednesday till 20 March, providing a great opportunity for many operators who often struggle to find time to leave their business to attend events,” Mr Bennett said.
“The Queensland Government understands business operators are spending a lot of time working in their businesses.
“We are offering an option for operators to use new technologies to help them develop better business practices and increase their profitability.”
“The webinars will provide a simple and effective way for people to learn more about using social media, online marketing, and use of search engines to promote their business.
“With more people turning to the internet to find services and products, the importance of an online presence for businesses cannot be overestimated,” he said.
“I strongly recommend small business owners register for one or all of the webinars.”
The seminars, to be held between 12.30 – 1.30pm, are:
- 27 February – Advanced Facebook strategies for your business
- 6 March – Search engine optimisation: increase the online visibility of your website
- 13 March – Local search marketing
- 20 March – Managing your online reputation
