Over 400 bunches of flowers will brighten aged care facilities across the Burnett Electorate as local MP Stephen Bennett embarks on his annual Mother’s Day delivery tour.
The Member for Burnett has teamed up with the Bundaberg Endeavour Foundation who arrange thousands of flowers for the occasion each year.
Mr Bennett said the not-for-profit organiation enriches the lives of many across the community.
“Supporting the Endeavour Foundation is a no-brainer, it brings me so much joy to see how a bunch of flowers can instantly lift a person’s day,” he said.
“From the moment they’re planted to the day they’re gifted, the Endeavour Foundation flowers bring cheer to their employees, volunteers and of course our mums.
“Funds raised from bunches of flowers are used to assist people with a disability, whether that is helping them gain employment opportunities, life skills development or assistance with independent living.
“Our local Endeavour Foundation has been doing fantastic work supporting people with a disability to gain employment opportunities and live happy and fulfilling lives.
“A huge thanks must go to the dozens of volunteers who work tirelessly to grow and produce thousands of flowers every Mother’s Day.
“While a big thanks must also go to all our mums who go above and beyond for their children and community.
“Happy Mother’s Day this Sunday!”
