Local MP Stephen Bennett is preparing to deliver a blooming beautiful treat to mothers across the region with the help of the Endeavour Foundation.
Hundreds of bunches of bright chrysanthemums will be delivered to aged care facilities across the region today in celebration of Mother’s Day on Sunday.
Mr Bennett said supporting the Endeavour Foundation this Mother’s Day was a no-brainer.
“The not-for-profit organization enriches the lives of so many people in the community,” he said.
“Their stunning bouquets will now be delivered to 400 mums around the Burnett electorate to help brighten their room and homes within our retirement villages.
“Funds raised from bunches of flowers are used to assist people with a disability, whether that is helping them gain employment opportunities, life skills development or assistance with independent living.
“Our local Endeavour Foundation has been doing fantastic work supporting people with a disability to gain employment opportunities and live happy and fulfilling lives.
“A huge thanks must go to the dozens of volunteers who work tirelessly to grow and produce thousands of flowers every Mother’s Day.”
