nsland’s world class tourism attractions and visitor information centres are now just a click away following the launch of a free smartphone application.
The Visitor Information Centre app launched this week will give tourists a range of information tailored to their location.
The free app isa perfect opportunity to showcase the region’s finest events, attractions, tours and restaurants.
This free app will ensure tourists to Miriam Vale, Agnes Water and Seventeen Seventy, Bundaberg and Gin Gin to get the timely information they need to have the best possible Burnett holiday experience.
The Visitor Information Centre app is a perfect example of industry and government coming together to deliver benefits for tourism.
Initiatives like this will help us increase visitor numbers and double annual overnight visitor expenditure from $15 billion to $30 billion by 2020.
The Visitor Information Centre App is an initiative of Tourism and Events Queensland in partnership with the Queensland Information Centres Association.
The new Visitor Information Centre App can be conveniently downloaded from any location and based on where you are it will display the three nearest Visitor Information Centres to a user’s location.
The app also provides users with up to 12 recommendations from their nearest information centres on local tourism experiences such as events, attractions, tours and restaurants.
The idea is to showcase and make more accessible the valuable local knowledge information centres provide to visitors each day about their regions.
