Come along to Café 1928 at the Botanical Gardens this Thursday at 4:00 pm, and join me to help make a wish come true for local sick children.
The Make-A-Wish Bundaberg branch is holding a raffle to raise money to grant the wishes of children under 18 with a life threatening medical condition.
The prize is a painting by renowned indigenous artist Chern’ee Sutton. Valued at $3,500, Chern’ee has donated her work to support Make-A-Wish. The painting is on display at Cafe 1928 in the Botanical Gardens.
Make-A-Wish in Bundaberg recently granted their 101st wish, which is an incredible result by a group of volunteers. There are two very ill children in Bundaberg waiting to have their dream come true. I encourage everyone to buy a raffle ticket to help make this happen.
Tickets are only $1 each or 6 for $5 and available from Café 1928 at the Botanical Gardens. The raffle will be drawn on February 8 at the annual Make-A-Wish Trivia Night at the Bundaberg RSL.
