Childers streetscapeThe transformation of the Childers streetscape just got a major boost, with $500,000 from the Queensland Government.

The funding subsidy, announced last week is about making projects happen to help councils deliver a better lifestyle for their communities.

 We want Childers to be a precinct for shoppers to enjoy and businesses to flourish.

 Our goal is to make Childers a vibrant and attractive place to live, work and play.

 It’s something that will draw tourists and residents alike.

Funding for Childers streetscape beautification comes from the Local Government Grants and Subsidies Program, which helps Queensland Councils to deliver priority infrastructure projects for their communities.

The Childers CBD streetscape has been improved in stages over the past decade. This subsidy is for Stage six – the beautification of 360 metres of streetscape within the Childers CBD.

 The subsidy will complement previous investments and develop an attractive community streetscape for residents, tourist and visitors that will deliver economic benefits.
