Almost $250,000 has been spread around the Burnett region with local groups and organisations winning big under the latest round of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
Member for Burnett Stephen Bennett said some brand new yard panels and gates are on the way for Agnes Water Active Riders Inc.
“Agnes Water Active Riders is one of many local organisations who have been awarded funding under round 100 of the GCBF,” he said.
“The club will use the almost $9,500 to purchase new equipment which will be used by many riders and horses into the future.
“It’s great to see so many local groups receive a helping hand through this fund to further progress our communities.”
The Lowmead Hall Association will see $2,200 come their way for live bands for community dances while brand new tennis courts will be going in at the Moore Park Beach Tennis Club.
“Groups such as Agnes Water Active Riders play such an important role in our communities and I’m committed to ensuring they are supported as much as possible,” Mr Bennett said.
Round 102 of the GCBF closes on 31 August with grants between $500 and $35,000 up for grabs.
