More than 80 people shared a cuppa at the tenth annual ‘Bundy’s Biggest Morning Tea’ to raise funds in the fight against cancer.
The milestone event was thanks to a joint initiative between the Member for Burnett Stephen Bennett, the local QCWA branches and event organiser Bernice Maidment.
Bundy’s Biggest Morning Tea 2024 broke previous records and raised more than $2600 to help Cancer Council Queensland continue their vital work.
Member for Burnett Stephen Bennett said every dollar raised today will help fund lifesaving cancer research, prevention, advocacy and support programs.
“Sadly, many of us know someone who has been touched by cancer in some way, this event gives us a small opportunity to come together to help fight this terrible disease,” said Mr Bennett.
“Thank you to everyone who came along to today’s morning tea, it just goes to show was a generous and supportive community we have across the Bundaberg and Burnett region.”
All funds raised through the morning tea will help support more than 1930 people in the Wide Bay Burnett diagnosed with cancer each year.
