Member for Burnett Stephen Bennett is on the hunt for ‘Bundy’s Best Tradie’ and has launched a competition to find them.
Form Direct Bundaberg has come on board with the local competition that offers the winner a $500 gift voucher.
Mr Bennett is encouraging residents to nominate someone who they think deserves to wear the Best Tradie Crown.
“Our trades have been working around the clock this year and I think it’s time we give them some recognition for their hard work,” he said.
“It’s no secret that it’s been tough due to unprecedented supply shortages, forcing our trades men and women to get creative and think outside the box.
“Over the next few weeks, I’m asking you to nominate a tradie who has gone above and beyond.
“I spent decades in the building industry and definitely met some brilliant men and women.
“I’ve never claimed to be the best chippy in town but there are plenty out there doing great work who I would vouch for and who deserve to wear the Best Tradie Crown.
“I’m running this Nominate a Tradie Competition to reward a hard-working tradie with a $500 Gift Voucher to be redeemed at Form Direct Bundaberg.
“A big shout out must go to the team at Form Direct for coming on board. It’s been a challenge for everyone, including our supply stores, and it’s great to see the industry come together to support one another.”
Form Direct Director Peter Phillips said it’s a great encouragement for those tradies who work tirelessly to keep Bundy’s construction industry alive and well.
“Tradies have been under added pressure in the last 18 months, so this is an ideal opportunity to provide some encouragement and recognition to this exceptional group of people who support the growth and wellbeing of Bundaberg,” he said.
“Here’s an excellent opportunity to have your say and celebrate the prosperity and achievements of Bundy’s Tradies!”
To nominate, write in 25 words or less why you think your tradie is the best! Email the Burnett Electorate office at burnett@parliament.qld.gov.au or message Mr Bennett on Facebook for a nomination form or drop in to Form Direct at 56 Enterprise St, Bundaberg.
Forms are to be returned via email, Facebook or in person by December 3rd 2021. The winner will be drawn on December 10th and notified by phone or email.
