Member for Burnett Stephen Bennett has congratulated the region’s new Mayor, Jack Dempsey, and councillors who were officially sworn in today.
Mr Bennett said he welcomed the opportunity to work closely with the Mayor and councillors to achieve growth and opportunity for the people of Bundaberg and Burnett.
“I look forward to working with each and every one of our elected representatives to make this great region an even better place to live, work and raise a family,” Mr Bennett said.
“I have full confidence in Jack Dempsey to lead this council and launch our community to greater heights.
“Jack’s passion and determination to create a united community is just what the people of Bundaberg and Burnett need to move forward into the future.
“He brings a wealth of experience to the team and I’m confident we will work well together, along with the councillors, to boost the economy, create jobs and grow our community.
