Member for Burnett Stephen Bennett has officially handed over a brand new fire truck to the Childers Fire and Rescue Station crew.
The new appliance, valued at just under half a million dollars, was well received by the
Mr Bennett said he was delighted to represent the Minister for Police, Fire and Emergency Services to launch the new appliance.
He said the new appliance was great timing as fire crews remain on high alert due to the current fire weather conditions.
