$100,000 is up for grabs for local not-for-profit groups and Member for Burnett Stephen Bennett said it’s time to start writing those applications!

Applications for the second Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF) Super Round have opened.

Mr Bennett said a grant of this magnitude could go a very long way for local groups and organisations.

“Our not-for-profits play a vital role in our region through providing support, information, education and encouragement to people of all ages and abilities,” he said.

“Local sporting clubs foster emerging talent and shape our future Olympians.

“Many of our volunteer organisations make up the fabric of our communities; it’s no stretch to say we’d be lost without them.

“The last super round saw eight community organisations across the Burnett share in $244,574!

“Much of this funding went toward vital works that these groups could only dream of.

“I’m committed to ensuring our local clubs and organisations are supported as much as possible which is why I’m urging groups to get their applications in now for the GCBF Super Round.

“My office is here to help, so please don’t hesitate to give me a call to discuss your options or seek a letter of support.

“Our not-for-profits go above and beyond to serve our community, the funding from this Super Round would certainly be well earned and deserved here in the Bundaberg and Burnett region.”

Round 116 ($100k super round) is now open and will close midnight on 28 February 2023.
